It's a Brick.... HOUSE!

:) Tyler and I have been looking for houses for awhile now- getting geared up to leave my childhood bedroom at my parents house and get a place of our own! We had looked around at a few but the "brick house" caught our attention!
Well, the offer has been accepted and the move "in" date is April 30th! I am posting a few pictures from the realty sites- but will post loads more when we get in & start putting our own touch on the place! :) We are both so overjoyed and ready for another chapter in our lives! Now you all will have a place to come and stay!!!!! Book your flights! :)

I will be leaving soon for Cloud 9- Pendleton, Coors Light, Tyler, Dane, Jason & Luke = all of my favorites in a room- I might have to add a pomegranate margarita in there too! Can't wait! :)

Swamped! :)

I know- this blog can't really service if I don't post on it!!! WELL! It's only been a month- ish.. right?! :)
Work is an amazing blur! I feel so blessed to be working in the field I wanted to be in- and a fifteen minute drive from Ontario! What a blessing- I have already learned so much and am busy! I have been building a great relationship with the other Graphic Designer who has been in the industry for 20 + years. It's amazing to have someone who is willing to teach you, it's kind of like school in the way that I'm always learning something new, but this time I get to do my work and get paid! I can't wait to do it for the rest of my life! The trucking industry is also a very interesting thing to be involved in- I have learned everything and more about Trucking in these 2 months- more than I ever knew their was! It's a great field! :) I'm still at Brewsky's and am loving the hustle after sitting down all day- needless to say, Tyler and I are very close to saving up the amount we want for a house!
Unfortunately, the opposite schedules are not keeping us close. We see each other a good 4 days a week, depending, but those days are really a few hours! We have learned how to take advantage of a few hours and have gone on some great dates in those hours! He's still working his butt off- but next week we are going to the Jason Aldean concert & taking advantage of a weekend! I even have Saturday off of Brewskys & the hotel is in walking distance of bars and the concert- should be a good time!
Last weekend was the Ontario Fireman's Ball and we had a blast! They held it at the new Armory, which is spectacular inside, and the turn out was incredible. Tyler also got a little bang for his buck.
Ten minutes before a very nice raffle Tyler went to buy a ticket. He drew a 9- which means he paid 9 bucks for the ticket- and ten minutes later came out with a brand new .17! Very much worth our 49 dollars ( plus a few beers I may have had!) I got to spend time with Kristy, and Tyler had to pry me out of there- we could have talked the night away sitting on the meat freezers!

Anyways- Life is good! :)

Whirlwind of a week...or 2

I'm finally relaxing after what feels like a crazy, out of body past 2 weeks ( almost) that I have had. Although, I can't say it was too chaotic, adjustments into my working schedule have left me an old woman in bed at the latest 8:30 every night! :)
Last Tuesday I had a small meeting with Internet Truckstop in New Plymouth. I had heard that they were swamped with Graphic Design work and had contacted them about a possibility of them wanting me to do some freelance stuff, at most a brochure or logo, just something to fill in on the extra time slot in between waitressing & my plan to go to Grad School.
At 10 I walk into this meeting with the most wonderful woman Leigh, who then takes me over to get asked a few questions by nice man named Joel. He had his own office so I'm thinking he's a pretty big deal and leave his office with a full time job as their 2nd Graphic Designer!!! I then meet the founder of Internet Truckstop and have no recollection of anything that was said at that point on because I was in an astonished daze of happiness! I started the next day at 8 & just got my MAC all set up at my desk! I even get a name tag! I know silly things sounds very unimportant but OH how I feel special! ( and blessed, and privileged, and jumping out of my BONES ecstatic! )
Who does that happen to?! !!!!! Anyways, as you can see I feel so gracious and blessed that I have my dream job, now I just have to maintain it :)! Time has been scarce, jumping from one job to the next & with Tyler working graveyard our minutes together are few but that won't last too long!
My parents, Tyler and I went out to Boise today to do a little shopping, which we had one or two ...or maybe a few more bags of success! It's okay right? I'm working hard! haha!
Now it's time for some laundry and a great new book I got at Costco.. and maybe a nice cold Coors Light! :)

New Blog... kind of!

So, our previous blog has always been marked as public, yet would NOT allow anyone to see it! I tried and tried but something inside the little codes must have gone a little cooky, because a blog shouldn't be that hard to figure out! So here it is! Our new blog address! The great thing is I got to transfer my old blog hoopla to this one, and now everyone can see what I have been blogging! We aren't an invisible ghost of a blog anymore! :) Hopefully, now, this blog will help us with our goal of keeping our long distance friends and family in touch with our Eastern Oregon lives! Hooray!

kittens! :)

I was taking pictures for my digital photography class ( online) & snapped a few of the newest addition to the DINSMORE fam. Dinsmore, not Swanson. ha . Mom & Dad needed two new "mousers" so ta da! Here are Oli & Gurt.
Behind the names: Our other two cats our named Butter & Cream. Keeping with the dairy family we picked Oli ( for Olio Margarine) & Yogurt. Oli & Gurt stuck.  They are now about 12 weeks old finally, & I think we got them around 4. They were sickly due to being weened from the mommy WAY too early, and out of that whole litter these are the two that survived! ( so far!)

Emma Belle Crooks

I can't believe I haven't updated this in so long! Now so much really has happened! My amazing friends Brittney & Kyle Crooks created a beautiful baby girl who was born in August! It is such a blessing to have seen their love through out such a big part of it! And what a blessing they have brought into the world! They were gracious enough to let me be apart of sharing it with the world & I made her baby announcements for them! :) I could not have had a better project to work on! I can't wait to meet her, hopefully in the nearish future, after the holiday season! I know both Tyler and I miss their company so much!
