The mop is gone!

Yes, I cut my hair! Woo hoo! I was so tired of drying that thick mess every morning, when I had much rather take the time to check Facebook or play with the terror Clawdia! so here it is:

What do we think? I know, short right? But I love it! Stephanie (Schwartz) did an amazing job & I hiiiighly recommend her if you are looking for someone new!!!
:) I guess it's that time of year for new things huh! For those that don't know, we also got a kitty ( as referenced above! :)
She's a cutie pants & tears up the house before she takes a power nap, then she's a wild woman again! Life is good here!

Just another perfect day!

Tyler & I get little time together, but the time we do get seems way too good! Because of these opposite schedules we have been able to do these amazing things:

∂ Have lunch together during the day! Tyler heads over to N. Plymouth at least once a week and brings me a delicious selection of fried something or other, and for that 1/2 hour we just get to be!

∂ Mondays & Tuesdays are date nights! Monday's for sure, you can usually find us sharing Dlx. Nachos at Brewsky's!

∂ Tyler going to sleep around 2 or 3 in the afternoon leaves me with the duty of making his sandwich! ( I think he just likes to have that excuse!)

∂ Saturday and Sunday mornings are usually left for trips to Boise, drinking at least a pot of coffee between us, or watching the random shows on VH1- :)

Thanks to the opposite schedules we have been able to make the little time, like a half hour, seem like a day & the every day to day, a date instead of just being. I would encourage anyone in a relationship to try it for a week, and maybe the week will turn to habit! To try making every time you see them a date! Take advantage of the little bits and pieces and hold tight! It makes them last longer! Life is good!

The AFTER!

Happy Anniversary to Tyler & I :) ( May 30th, 2009) Tomorrow- or in an hour- will be our 1 year anniversary! Can you believe it? I can't believe how fast in went! I know people always say that, but really, didn't we just move up here? Didn't I just graduate from college? Didn't Tyler & I just meet! The year has been amazing, and we have had so many incredible experiences. New jobs & careers even, a year full of saving money and now the new house! We can't say Thank You enough to my parents, who have helped us get a foot up on life & all of the other incredible support! THANK YOU!
Here are the after pictures of the house, even though it's still coming together- How appropriate to show them on a wonderful day for Tyler & I! Enjoy!

We're in... almost!

Ok- So Tyler & I might not be completely moved in, and we haven't stayed a night at the house- but we've had the keys for a week & are SO CLOSE! Today and tomorrow is the real move- where we can finally disperse all the goodies we have stored up in one bedroom over the year! Since the " After" pictures are coming soon, I thought I would post a few before pics. ( and a few in progress pictures as well!) Needless to say Tyler & I have been working around the clock! If I thought I was busy a few weeks ago, I don't know what I am now! It is the most gratifying feeling to have saved up a good amount of money- & to just shop! On the day we got the keys- which was Mothers Day ( yes that was her present!) - Lana & Marcus brought us a much needed cooler full of beer! It kept us going & soon we will be giving them beer out of our fridge! THANK YOU :)

Speaking of SHOPPING, two weekends ago my Mom & I went to Clackamas for a fully suburban loaded SPLURGE at IKEA * among other places! I got to see Heather, which is always way overdue & amazing! I was trying on some pants at the Woodburn outlets, when Heather bribed me to come out and CHANDRA & KENNEDY were there! SURPRISE! I jumped and cried, in pants with the tags on them ( bought them though- they bring good things :) ) I was so so so happy! I haven't seen Chan since she was 5 or 6 months pregnant & now Kennedy is already 3 months! Beautiful mom & daughter! I couldn't have asked for a more amazing day! Shopping with my best friends & a new baby! I could go on and on but it was an amazing trip!
Enjoy the pictures. The first nights stay is hopefully this Monday, which means MORE pictures for all you creepers out there ;) I'm one too! Don't worry!

Because we can!

So, in the recent weeks and days we have gotten to know the current owners of our new home, Josh and Lisa! They invited us over for dinner to show us how things work, and give us tips and tricks about the house that they have discovered! WHO DOES THAT?! We were honestly floored at how kind and generous this couple is! What a blessing to have met people like that! The dinner went great, and we talked for hours! It was weird having our first dinner in the house that we will soon have many meals & memories in! Josh & Lisa are amazing people and shared so many great things about the house that I would have never thought to even ask!
We imposed ourselves again tonight, to measure the windows and stove area so that we can get a head start on the shopping! I figure the little time I do have, I can start making curtains for the house. This idea stemmed from Lisa when she had said that she had always intended putting curtains up but never got to it. I would be the same way because curtains would be so miniscule when preparing a house! Anyways, because we can, we measured the windows and I already scoped out and bought the rods! Above is a picture of what we got! Anyone who is looking for window hardware JCPenneys is having a great sale- these were 50 percent off!! Also, If anyone has any curtain fabric ideas, I would love to hear! We have pale yellow leather couches and the walls will be a blue-purple color. ( Josh and Lisa have an ashy color - you can see it in the pictures) and I love the grey but we will go a little brighter :) - also notice the blue carpet, although I'm pretty much ignoring that! haha! JoAnns- I'm coming for you tomorrow!
This is probably what the next few weeks will be like- me finding something we absolutely NEED in the house that we aren't in yet! :) because we can!

It's a Brick.... HOUSE!

:) Tyler and I have been looking for houses for awhile now- getting geared up to leave my childhood bedroom at my parents house and get a place of our own! We had looked around at a few but the "brick house" caught our attention!
Well, the offer has been accepted and the move "in" date is April 30th! I am posting a few pictures from the realty sites- but will post loads more when we get in & start putting our own touch on the place! :) We are both so overjoyed and ready for another chapter in our lives! Now you all will have a place to come and stay!!!!! Book your flights! :)

I will be leaving soon for Cloud 9- Pendleton, Coors Light, Tyler, Dane, Jason & Luke = all of my favorites in a room- I might have to add a pomegranate margarita in there too! Can't wait! :)

Swamped! :)

I know- this blog can't really service if I don't post on it!!! WELL! It's only been a month- ish.. right?! :)
Work is an amazing blur! I feel so blessed to be working in the field I wanted to be in- and a fifteen minute drive from Ontario! What a blessing- I have already learned so much and am busy! I have been building a great relationship with the other Graphic Designer who has been in the industry for 20 + years. It's amazing to have someone who is willing to teach you, it's kind of like school in the way that I'm always learning something new, but this time I get to do my work and get paid! I can't wait to do it for the rest of my life! The trucking industry is also a very interesting thing to be involved in- I have learned everything and more about Trucking in these 2 months- more than I ever knew their was! It's a great field! :) I'm still at Brewsky's and am loving the hustle after sitting down all day- needless to say, Tyler and I are very close to saving up the amount we want for a house!
Unfortunately, the opposite schedules are not keeping us close. We see each other a good 4 days a week, depending, but those days are really a few hours! We have learned how to take advantage of a few hours and have gone on some great dates in those hours! He's still working his butt off- but next week we are going to the Jason Aldean concert & taking advantage of a weekend! I even have Saturday off of Brewskys & the hotel is in walking distance of bars and the concert- should be a good time!
Last weekend was the Ontario Fireman's Ball and we had a blast! They held it at the new Armory, which is spectacular inside, and the turn out was incredible. Tyler also got a little bang for his buck.
Ten minutes before a very nice raffle Tyler went to buy a ticket. He drew a 9- which means he paid 9 bucks for the ticket- and ten minutes later came out with a brand new .17! Very much worth our 49 dollars ( plus a few beers I may have had!) I got to spend time with Kristy, and Tyler had to pry me out of there- we could have talked the night away sitting on the meat freezers!

Anyways- Life is good! :)
